PowportA pet tech startup based in Phoenix, CES is back in 2025 to unveil its upgraded Smart Pet Door, which now features an additional exterior door for added security.

If you're tired of bugs or, worse, raccoons and other critters sneaking into your home through traditional pet doors, Pawport may have the solution. First announced at last year's CES, the smart pet door system is made from thick, powder-coated steel and aluminum and features two sturdy deadbolts to withstand bad weather and prevent unwanted animals from entering.

Thanks to a tracker tag and motion sensing technology, the door opens automatically as soon as your pet approaches. Additionally, there's a companion app that lets you remotely control the door, schedule when the door can open or close, and even issue voice commands via Alexa, Siri, or Google.

The new model has an internal and external door connected by a small tunnel for improved security. Compared to other pet doors on the market, the Pawport is designed to be one of the safest options, especially in areas like California, where Coyote attack increased this past summer, A man and his chihuahua A dog was reportedly injured when a coyote entered their home through a door.

For added security, smart pet doors have sensitivity sensors that prevent the door from closing when a pet enters or exits the home. There's also an option to disable top panel controls, which prevents kids from pressing buttons to open and crawl Pawport. In the event of a power outage, Pawport's rechargeable battery pack ensures the door remains operational, so pets aren't trapped inside or out.

Pawport starts at $500 and will be available in early 2025.
