Southeast Asian travel booking app and online travel platform AirAsia MOVE (MOVE) officially signed an agreement with Ant International's Antom on Tuesday, January 7.
The new deal is part of MOVE's ongoing efforts to transform travel, including a seamless in-app payment experience.
Under the agreement, AirAsia MOVE will work closely with Antom, Ant International's merchant payment and digitization service provider, and 2C2P, a full-suite global payment platform and a subsidiary of Antom.
This partnership agreement between MOVE, Antom and 2C2P is part of a strategic partnership announced in March 2024 between Capital A and Ant International covering various areas, to further integrate payment methods and provide acquisition services on Capital A's platforms. The collaboration will also integrate Antom and 2C2P's advanced payment solutions, including payment orchestration and acquisition for both cards and local payment methods (LPM), into AirAsia MOVE's platform.
These state-of-the-art technologies will enable AirAsia MOVE to streamline payment methods, reduce cross-border transaction costs and operational costs, and expand its customer base and provide customers with a wider range of preferred payment options.
