Digital travel platform Agoda recently ranked Asia's top 10 pet-friendly travel destinations, highlighting the growing trend among travelers for accommodations that welcome their furry companions.
The list, calculated based on the average number of pet households, was dominated by Vietnamese cities, ranking four out of ten.
Da Nang (Vietnam) leads the pack, followed by Cebu (Philippines), Hanoi (Vietnam), Nha Trang (Vietnam) and Tainan (Taiwan) rounding out the top five.
Pattaya (Thailand), Taichung (Taiwan), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), New Delhi (India) and Manila (Philippines) rounded out the top ten.
A growing trend
According to a recent study by Allied Market Research, pet travel is on the rise in Asia, with millennials and Gen Z embracing their pet parents and leading the charge to cuddle up to their furry friends.
Agoda saw a 64 percent increase in pet-friendly features last year, making it easier for pets to join their owners on travel adventures in comfort and style.
