David Muir Facing backlash for sewing his flame-resistant jacket.

Fans are upset with ABC News anchor Muir, 51, after she apparently used clothespins to snag her waist while reporting on the devastating Los Angeles wildfires on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

When Muir turned to look at the destruction behind him during a newscast, viewers noticed clothespins on the back of his coat. Social media users were quick to share their thoughts on Muir Snatch look through x.

“People are losing everything they own, nobody cares what you look like,” one social media user wrote, adding as a second, “David Muir is more worried about his looks than he is about the fire.” A third person agreed, writing, “California is on fire and she doesn't want her jacket bag on camera. PEOPLE PRIORITY!”

While some fans thought it was unnecessary to worry about Muir's outfit during the devastating weather, others defended World News Tonight Anchor “Y'all leave David Muir and his fire jacket alone,” wrote one. “A little waist stripping never hurt anyone.”
