After thousands of houses were burned and many more people were evacuated from their homes From areas all over Los Angeles This week, Stone, 66, shared a post via his Instagram Wednesday, January 8, called for clothing donations.
Sharing a clip showing The Coop, a distribution center on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles, Stone urged her followers to follow her lead in donating “gently used” clothing to “people displaced and affected by the fire.” He added that those affected are welcome to “shop” at The Coupe for clothing.
Berry, 58, listened to the call and reposted the clip through it Own Instagram accountHe also announced that he would pitch in with the grant.
“I'm packing up my entire closet and heading to the COOP! If you live in the Southern California area, I urge you to do the same,” the actress captioned the post. “This is something we can do right now to help all the displaced families who need the basics today! In response, Pfeiffer, 66, expressed his willingness to donate, asking in the comments section, “Can I do it tomorrow?”
Meanwhile Stone appeared on News Nation Wednesday evening and shared more information about The Coop.
“My sister and another preacher friend of ours opened a store, working together with a store on Beverly Boulevard,” he said. “It's called The Coop, so, if you have gently used clothes, shoes, bedding, which these disenfranchised people might need, please come to The Coop immediately, starting tomorrow morning, and you can drop them off.”
He added, “If you need things, come to The Coop. It's for people who need any of these things, please come there. This is where you can get them, it's a distribution center.”
Stone revealed that she's also rolling up her sleeves to offer support in other ways, including opening her doors to displaced friends.
“I'm taking friends to my house. I have family to go with us now. We are setting up a place to help people We're setting up beds and just rooms at home,” Stone said. “We're loading up trucks and taking everything we have to The Coop, and we're inviting our friends to come here with us. Many people are being evacuated.”
An estimated 9,000 homes were reported damaged or destroyed by the fire, according to officials The Guardian.
