In December, Hoda has announced the date of its final episodeAnd this morning, she bid a tearful farewell to the crew, co-stars and viewers who helped shape the past two decades of her life.

“Can I say thank you to everyone who came here?” Hoda spoke for the last time as she wrapped up the 8 am show.
“I read your card. I got your bracelet. I got the scarf you crocheted. i got it all I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
There wasn't a dry eye in the house as Hoda expressed her gratitude and received tearful words of appreciation from her colleagues.
“He's so special it's almost beyond description,” Savannah Guthrie said. He went on to praise his long-time co-star for always staying focused on the important things in life. “That's what he's about,” Savannah said.
To be replaced by Hoda Craig MelvinWho will now sit next to Savannah for the 7 and 8 am hours of the show.

talking to Page Six Regarding the next chapter in her career, Hoda revealed that she has signed a deal that will enable her to stay onboard at NBC in a small role.
Kotb will continue to contribute exclusive interviews for todayAnd he'll be attending the next two Olympics as a kind of brand ambassador — a role like that Snoop Dogg played in Paris last summer
“I think it will be a Snoop-ish role,” Hoda commented about his new gig.
“I want to be a supporting character in a team that's already there so I'll come in and have a role there. And then I'm going to do my 'Making Space' podcast, which I really enjoy and love,” he continued.
“And for today Show, I think we're talking about doing something every four to six weeks, a little something.”
Hoda also hinted at frequent appearances in Jenna Bush Hager's segment today. And he dismissed claims that he was leaving the show due to a contract dispute.
“This job is amazing and I don't do it because I get a paycheck every Thursday. not so Because then you are only happy every other Thursday,” he explained.
“I do it because I love it. And I think it was never a money thing for me … I took the job I wanted and then asked for what I wanted.
