Hollywood has no shortage of Doctor Who shows, but HBO does Pit There is a new take on the traditional hospital drama.
Noah Wyle (of ER fame) Back to the emergency room As Dr. Michael “Robbie” Robinavich, who is easily the best doctor on the shift. As chief of the emergency department, Robbie's goal is to keep the ER running smoothly, but the first season takes place on a particularly difficult day — the five-year anniversary of former boss Montgomery Adamson's death from COVID-19. (Yes, we said season one. Each episode chronicles one hour of Robbie's 15-hour shift.)
The first two episodes — which premiered on HBO on Jan. 9 — also introduced viewers to a few more faces on ER, including newcomer Dr. Frank Langdon. Patrick Ball.
Not much is known about Dr. Langdon, other than the fact that he is full of contentment and recently got a dog for his 4-year-old, much to the chagrin of his colleagues. But more will (hopefully) be revealed with each passing episode.
