The Red Cross told Fox Business that hundreds of residents are already seeking safe shelter in evacuation centers across the Los Angeles County area, as at least four fires continue to burn in the area.
More than 30,000 residents have been ordered to evacuate.

According to the Red Cross, once they receive an official evacuation order, they must “follow the orders and instructions of local authorities”. However, even if residents do not receive orders, they should leave if they feel threatened or unsafe, according to the organization.

The Red Cross said residents in affected areas should return their cars to garages or park them outside on evacuation routes.
According to the Red Cross you should bring a “go-kit”:
A “go-kit” should be a three-day supply that you can easily carry with you, while a stay-at-home kit should be a two-week supply.
- Emergency kit should be in the car. If there is time, residents should deliver items in short supply, especially medicine or medical care
- 1 month supply of medicine in a child-proof container
- A mask and hand sanitizer
- Special items for babies, such as food, formula, diapers, extra clothes and toys
- Items for pets, including a leash, pet medicine and pet food
- Personal hygiene items, pillows, blankets, towels, changes of clothing or other items you want to keep in the shelter
- Cell phone charger or external battery pack.
