Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Limited (NCLH) has announced the appointment of Jason Montagu as its Chief Luxury Officer, effective February 17.
Montague's appointment falls under NCLH's new leadership structure aimed at expanding the multi-billion dollar fleet for its ultra-premium and luxury cruise brands.
The new Chief Luxury Officer will oversee both Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises, capitalizing on his extensive industry expertise and strong track record having previously led these brands.
This appointment also emphasizes the focus on NCLH Chart the course strategy, which includes adding five new builds to its upscale brand fleet and plans to refurbish almost all of its existing vessels.
Extensive experience
Prior to this appointment, Montagu served as Special Advisor to NCLH for two years after leading the Regent Seven Seas Cruises brand until 2022 as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to that, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of both the Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands, where he successfully oversaw the launch of Sirena for Oceania Cruises and Seven Seas Explorer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Prior to NCLH's acquisition of Prestige, Montague was Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Prestige, where he was instrumental in launching Oceania Cruises, overseeing the purchase of its initial R-class ships, securing and acquiring an investment from Apollo Global Management. He led the financing and delivery of Oceania Cruises' new ships, Marina and Riviera.
Prior to that, he served as VP and Treasurer and SVP of Finance for Oceania Cruises.
Prior to that, he ran a consulting practice focused on strategic planning for SMEs and was VP of Finance at Alton Entertainment Corporation.
Montagu holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Miami.

To drive NCLH's bold vision for the future, the company plans to significantly increase its presence and position in the ultra-premium and luxury markets.
Over the next five years, NCLH will execute previously announced multi-billion-dollar investments in its premium brands as it pursues continued leadership in this market.
For Oceania Cruises, the brand expects three newbuilds by 2029, starting with Allura later this year.
Additionally, the brand's ships Marina and Riviera will be renovated in 2026 and 2027, respectively.
For Regent Seven Seas Cruises, on the other hand, two new ships will be added by 2029, alongside planned upgrades to the Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
