a turbulent JetBlue passenger An overhanging exit opened on a flight attempting to leave Boston on Monday, causing the plane to deploy its emergency slides.
The incident was confirmed to have taken place at Boston Logan International Airport on Tuesday evening by JetBlue and the Massachusetts Port Authority (Masport). Massport told Fox Business the suspect was a male passenger.
“[He] An attempt was made to open the door while the aircraft was taxiing and emergency slides were deployed,” an official said, adding that no injuries were reported.
Massachusetts State Police (MSP) arrived at the scene around 7:25 p.m. and arrested the passenger. An MSP trooper told Fox Business that the response was prompted by “a report of a disturbance.”

JetBlue later told Fox Business that the flight was delayed as a result of the incident.
“[The] The customer, for unknown reasons, opened an overhang exit while taxiing the plane to Logan, causing an emergency slide to deploy,” the airline said. “The person remained on the plane and Massachusetts State Police were called to the scene. “
As of 8:30 p.m., JetBlue said it was “working to get our customers on their way as quickly as possible.”

The incident at Logan Airport wasn't the only unusual incident involving JetBlue this week. There were two bodies Found on JetBlue Flight 1801 Monday from JFK Airport in New York City to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Officials found the bodies in the plane's landing gear during a routine maintenance inspection, a JetBlue spokeswoman told Fox Business.

“This is a heartbreaking situation, and we are committed to working closely with the authorities to support their efforts to understand how this happened,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
