Laguna Phuket recently unveiled the impressive and creative Wishing Tree installation that integrates the skilled artistry of local crafts with innovative design, welcoming visitors into a realm of enchantment.
Drawing inspiration from the charm of spontaneous structures, the Wishing Tree is thoughtfully crafted from sustainable materials, making it visually appealing and environmentally friendly.
It creates an ideal backdrop for Instagram, enhancing every visitor's experience and creating unforgettable memories.
The installation is open to the public until April 30.
A study in bamboo
This stunning installation, made from over 700 bamboo shoots, marks the culmination of a three-month long Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative led by the Central Landscape Department.
It demonstrates creativity, innovation and thoughtful application of design concepts. Aimed at arousing curiosity, the installation encourages visitors to explore the harmonious combination of aesthetics, functionality and environmental responsibility, a fundamental aspect of Laguna Phuket's sustainability objectives.
Laguna Phuket Director of Central Landscapes Krythera Lolurlert said of the Wishing Tree: “Our sustainability initiative at the destination is driven by our commitment to eco-friendly practices and igniting creativity. We aim to engage the audience by displaying installations that provoke thought and encourage sustainable behaviour. We are confident that this extraordinary installation will inspire visitors to reflect on their environmental actions and take measures to reduce their carbon emissions, contributing to our collective mission of sustainability.”
A sight to deceive the senses
Viewed from a certain angle, the Wishing Tree installation resembles three separate trees, standing at 6m, 5m and 4m.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the installation seeks to increase visitor comfort by providing shade.
This feature enables visitors to calm down and relax while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere.
To further enhance the visitor experience, Laguna Phuket will launch a SNAP & WIN social media contest encouraging visitors to share creative photos or videos featuring the Wishing Tree installation.
