A Los Angeles man is trying to get home Phoenix metro area Took myself a bit of a treat when taking a Waymo to the airport.
“Okay, why is this happening to me on Monday?” asked Mike Johns in a video while in an autonomous car in Scottsdale, Ariz. “I'm in a Waymo car … and this car is just going in circles.”
In the video, the car can be heard contacting Waymo support for help
“I have received notification that your vehicle may be experiencing some routing issues,” customer support agent Johns is heard saying
“I have a flight to catch. Why is this thing going in a circle? I'm dizzy,” he replies. He then told the agent he had his seatbelt on and “couldn't get out of the car.”
“Is it hacked? What's going on?” He asks “I feel like I'm in a movie. Is someone playing a joke on me?”

The incident occurred on Dec. 9, Waymo told Fox Business, adding that a subsequent software update fixed the issue.
The email states that Johns was just over 5 minutes late and that the vehicle was able to take him to his destination after the rider support team successfully stopped the vehicle from spinning.

When Johns shared the video on social media, he wrote that Waymo's “customer service is automated and Powered by AI.”
Waymo said it tried to contact him, and left a voicemail for follow-up. Johns was also not charged for the trip. Alphabet Inc.– Added company owned.
Johns' post says he'll keep it “old fashioned and just #Lyft or #Uber” from now on.
