The third edition of 'Riders in the Wild – 2025' was flagged off on 5th January from MPT 'Wind and Waves'. The biking event aims to highlight the adventure tourism potential of the state which includes rich wildlife, stunning natural sites and vibrant art and cultural heritage. Organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board in collaboration with MoSTEC, the event was flagged off by the Joint Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Mr. Santosh Srivastava, Executive Director, Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Corporation, Mr. Arun Paliwal and senior officials of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. .
7-Day Bikers' Itinerary Across India's Heartland
Joint Director Santosh Srivastava said the 'Riders in the Wild 3.0' biking expedition will embark on a 7-day journey across the heartland of India, offering diverse landscapes and cultural experiences. The itinerary promises a thrilling adventure for bikers, showcasing Madhya Pradesh's diverse natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
Bikers will travel via Bhopal to Rajgarh and Jhalawar to Gandhisagar Forest Retreat, staying overnight in luxury tented towns throughout the year. Then, riders will reach Chanderi via Guna and Ashoknagar, explore the rich heritage of Chanderi and experience the unique charm of Pranpur, stay overnight at the first Craft Tourism Village and Chanderi Eco-Retreat Tent City. After this, riders will proceed to UNESCO World Heritage Site Khajuraho via Tikamgarh, immersing themselves in the heritage walk and the vibrant culture of Bundelkhand. And finally from Khajuraho, via Panna, bikers will reach MPT Parsili Resort via Satna, Rewa and Sidhi, enjoy activities like barefoot sand trekking, bird watching, jungle walk, and visit Millet Museum and stay overnight at rural homestay for a rural experience. Bikers will reach Jabalpur via Parsili and Umaria and explore the temporary UNESCO World Heritage Site Marble Rock, Dhuandhar Falls and activities like boating and sky dining. The riders will then visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Vimbetka and end at the Bhojpur temple on January 11.
28 bikers are participating
28 riders, including two women, embarked on the 'Riders in the Wild 3.0' bike expedition. The participants hailed from various parts of India including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Udaipur and Rajasthan. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has provided an ambulance and a team of medical professionals to ensure the well-being of the riders throughout their journey with the rally.
