Open AI CEO Sam Altman on Tuesday responded to a lawsuit in which his sister has accused him sexual abuse For almost a decade.
Altman, along with his mother and two brothers, issued a joint statement denying his sister Ann Altman's claims.
“All of these claims are completely false,” the 39-year-old tech CEO said in a statement posted on X.
Ann Altman refused conventional treatment, the family said mental health Challenges and “lashes out” at family members who try to help, which makes it “incredibly difficult” to care for her.

“Our family loves Annie and is very concerned about her well-being,” the family's statement said. “Annie receives monthly financial support, which we hope to continue for the rest of her life. Despite this, Annie continues to demand more money from us.”
Ann Altman, now 30, filed a complaint Monday in St. Louis federal court saying the alleged abuse began at the family home. Clayton, Missouri, When he was three years old and his brother was 12 years old. The lawsuit claims the alleged abuse occurred “several times per week.”

She alleged that the abuse included “numerous acts” of rape, sexual assault, molestation, sex and battery and continued until she was 11 or 12 years old.

Anne Altman, now 30, alleged that her injuries included post-traumatic stress disorder, severe emotional distress, emotional distress and depression. He is seeking at least $75,000 in damages.

In March 2024, Musk filed a lawsuit against OpenAI arguing that it violated its founding mission as a nonprofit company by creating a for-profit structure. OpenAI pushed back on that lawsuit, which was withdrawn and refiled over the summer, and outlined Musk's past deals with the for-profit framework in a new blog post and legal filing.
