Low-cost Hungarian airline company Wiz Air will resume flights between Israel and mainly 10 European destinations from January 15. The airline company will reportedly offer flights between Rome, London, Milan, Vienna, Krakow, Bucharest and Athens from Tel Aviv's Ben-Gurion International Airport, but also to the UAE's Middle East hub, Abu Dhabi. This information was given in a report of the Israeli business daily Globes.

Most foreign airlines have canceled their flights to Israel due to the ongoing war with Iran-backed terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.

For years, Wizz Air has offered low-cost flight options for Israeli and foreign tourists traveling through Ben-Gurion Airport. However, in October, Wizz Air announced that it would suspend all of its Israel flights until January due to geopolitical instability and security-related issues.

Wizz Air's decision to resume some of its flights to and from Israel is likely linked to the current ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel. However, many international airlines are reluctant to resume flights due to the recent increase in Houthi missile attacks against the Jewish state.
